Masked Bandits Steal $400,000 Of Louis Vuitton In Paris

Crimes of fashion, take two! Just two weeks after thieves made off with samples of Marc Jacobs‘ entire spring 2012 collection, five masked bandits stole over $400,000 worth of Louis Vuitton goods from Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.

According to the AFP, via Women’s Wear Daily, “Five masked thieves neutralized a security guard and four employees at the airport’s freight terminal overnight, making off with around 10 pallets of merchandise valued at a minimum of 300,000 euros, or $400,760 at current exchange.”

Whether the merchandise was owned by Louis Vuitton is unclear. The AFP’s source spoke on condition of anonymity and officials at Louis Vuitton have so far declined to comment. One thing is for sure: Marc Jacobs’ designs are certainly a hot commodity.
