PHOTOS: Madonna Walks The Red Carpet In Embellished L’Wren Scott

Last night Madonna attended the BFI London Film Festival premiere for W.E. — otherwise known as her directorial debut about Wallis Simpson. And just as she did when showing off the film in Venice, the popstar-turned-director went the embellished route.

She wore a black L’Wren Scott dress with a beaded and sequined pink leaf design that ran all the way down the frock. She paired it with fishnets, Gucci platform pumps, and bling from Van Cleef & Arpels and Neil Lane (including a “WE” nameplate necklace). While we like her soft blonde curls and bright red lips, we’re not totally feeling Madonna’s ensemble. Because of the length of the dress, she should have ditched the tights! Or if she was set on covering her legs, a different dress (or hemline) would have been better.
