Marisa Tomei Divorces Lesbian Partner, But Not A Dress, In This Fashion Film
L.A.-based brand Co released a short film to introduce their Spring 2013 collection and, can we just say, we wish it were a full-length feature? The premise of the flick, titled “She Said, She Said,” is that co-stars Marisa Tomei and French actress Elodie Bouchez are a lesbian couple the midst of divorce. In a mediation session, they divvy up emotionally charged items, like their beloved purse pooch, Jimmie Hendrix, a Mercedes named Sylvester, and then – a dress. At this point, the flashbacks get steamy and the on-screen fashion goes from CEO-chic to show stopping.
Co was founded in in 2011 by producer Stephanie Danan and screenwriter Justin Kern, which explains the professional quality films they’ve used as a vehicle to launch every line since. This flick includes cameos by Aubrey Plaza (April on Parks and Rec) and funny man David Wain. In it, the Spring line shows a lot of strong staples, like button-down tops, and one really fun, fur-trimmed vest that (spoiler alert) Tomei wears to pick up chicks in the dog park.
