PHOTO: Four-Year Old Boy With Down Syndrome Lands Marks & Spencer Ad

Ordinarily, we wouldn’t give a holiday campaign from UK retailer Marks & Spencer much thought, but this year’s happens to star Seb White, a four-year-old boy with Down syndrome.

White is seen in the bottom right-hand corner of the ad below, and he looks like a dashing gent in a striped cardigan, tan trousers, button-up, and bowtie. He’s the first child with Down’s to model for the retailer, and we say that it’s about time. According to the Daily Mail, White’s mother sent Marks & Spencer a Facebook message asking why her son couldn’t be considered a model for their holiday ads, so the retailer gave him an audition and eventually cast him in its holiday campaign. The results are nothing short of heartwarming.

Marks & Spencer isn’t the only retailer giving children with Down syndrome a shot at modeling. Earlier this year, six-year-old Ryan fronted a big Target ad and 10-month-old Valentina Guerrero landed a swimwear campaign.
