WATCH: Martha Stewart’s Dog Won Big At The Westminster Dog Show

Here’s something that won’t surprise you in the least. Martha Stewart‘s purple-tongued chow chow Genghis Khan won the best of breed award at the Westminster Kennel Club’s annual dog show on Monday. Because how could he not?

Genghis, whose full competing name is Champion Pazzazz’s Ghengis Khan, is only two years old, but already he’s won a spot running with the big dogs. The win secures a place for him to trot out with the non-sporting group later today, and if he wins that he’ll compete for best in show Tuesday night.

Stewart, of course, was elated. She tweeted “Ghenghis khan did it! Best of Breed at Westminster!!!!Big Deal” along with a picture of him, wagging his tongue next to his shiny blue ribbon.

Genghis must have competed before to have the title champion in front of his name, and we’re happy for the little guy. Stay tuned to see how he does in the next round of competition.
