Mary-Kate Is Not Concerned With Your Opinion Of Olivier Sarkozy

As a part of their gig as WSJ.‘s “Innovators of the Year,” Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen gave an interview to the glossy right before Labor Day weekend. Inside the November issue, they talked about their plans to open freestanding stores for The Row, the discreet celebrity clientele the brand enjoys, and their nascent design years creating tween clothes for Walmart.
The interviewer also manages to get in a question about MK’s relationship with Olivier Sarkozy, which has raised some disapproving eyebrows due to the 16-year age difference between the two. Olsen has little time and few words for such people, however, saying concisely: “Everyone has an opinion.”
Indeed! Here’s our’s: do what you want, sister! You’re twenty-six and have a billion dollar empire, which probably means you don’t have a ton of time to be reading The National Enquirer:
“I find it’s better to focus on what’s in front of you and to keep putting one foot in front of the other.”
And when you’re walking around in five-inch heels half the time, we assure you that does take a lot of focus.
