PHOTOS: Michelle Obama Shines At Germany State Dinner

Michelle Obama is certainly making a great case for white. Following up on last month’s ivory gown by Tom Ford, the First Lady wore a shimmering, beaded creation by Naeem Khan for Tuesday night’s State Dinner in honor of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The v-neck dress was decorated with silver beads and white sequins and accessorized with an armful of Alexis Bittar bangles and delightfully tousled hair. We’re starting to hope that Michelle Obama wears something terrible one of these days so that we can write something other than “stunning.” Because, well, she looks stunning.

This isn’t the first time Obama has worn Naeem Khan. She wore a gold column dress by the Indian-American designer to the White House’s inaugural state dinner feting India back in 2009.

    She looks like a linebacker with huge hips.  Sorry.  I never find her to be very good looking in these beautiful clothes.  I do not understand the craze about her at all.

    I agree with JR.   She wears the wrong clothes for her odd body shape which is swayback w/ protruding tummy and tush, small on top & large on bottom.  She looks huge in this shiny, white sequinned dress that makes her stomach look big and her chest tiny.  She needs a stylist to help her get the right look for the camera and the occasion.

    As much as I worship Tom Ford I have to say I didn’t like the dress she wore by him.  The dress she wore for last nights event is absolutley gorgeous on her.  She has the best taste in clothing and knows how to dress for her body type.  And I love the tousled look of her hair.  I wish she would wear it that way more often.
