We’ve never quite figured out how people like Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton manage to look so damn cheery all the time. Don’t their cheeks get tired?

Well, it seems like the First Lady has had quite enough holiday cheer for a little while, thank you very much. Fair enough — after all that tree lighting and hall decking and general non stop merriment we’d need a break, too.

So what’s a girl to do when there are still gifts to sort and speeches to give? Put on a pair of leggings and a decidedly un-festive, orange cowl-neck sweater, and get to work, that’s what!

At least she looks comfy?

I have never seen someone look so unhappy. You figure that she would learn from the last four years, that she is always having her picture taken, smile!! Gee I thought you were finally happy to be an American. And you know if this was Laura Bush, this would be headline news.
