PHOTOS: Michelle Obama’s Stunning Purple Reed Krakoff Gown
Another day, another stellar look from Michelle Obama. The first lady joined President Obama last night at the Pritzker Architecture Prize ceremony, where she wore a purple (or navy blue?) dress from Coach creative director Reed Krakoff.
As with many of her other designer looks, this one got slightly customized before she slipped into it. The runway version of this dress was a little shorter and a not as buttoned up as Obama’s version turned out — notice that the leather halter straps on the FLOTUS dress are definitely sewn onto the bodice, and the belt is worn a little less haphazardly. Also, the slit up the front has been gathered together. Modesty, people!
We think this look is great, even if the length is just a smidge too short for our taste. Floor length or bust! But what do you think?
