On The Warpath? May Mags Serve Up A Surplus Of Surplus

And we thought March was over…

Sartorially speaking, it’s no huge secret that military-inspired looks have become an entrenched part of spring’s wardrobe, but talk about beating a dead horse. Between G.I. Gisele and Private Werbowy covering international issues of Vogue and Harper’s, along with a slew of other salut-a-torials, we felt it our duty to call the glossies on their surplus of uniformity.

Not that we don’t appreciate the Can-You-Spot-The-Difference-Between-These-Editorials? take on militant fashion. It’s like a prettier and better-dressed version of everyone’s favorite dive bar game: Photo Hunt! And lets be honest, Daria’s lace-up boots/unitard combo is pretty rad.

But too much khaki, camouflage, and aviators can become a bit fatiguing. So with that in mind, we picked a few of our favorite shots. Talk about commanding.
