Trump To Sue Transphobic Pageant Girl Over False Claims

On Monday, Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin claimed that Miss USA 2012 was rigged and subsequently resigned. Monnin alleges that she and a fellow contestant knew the results before they were even announced. But that may not be the real reason why she left her position, and it looks like this scandal is even juicier than we’d imagined.

According to E!, Monnin e-mailed her resignation to the Miss USA Organization and said she was leaving because of the new rule allowing transgender contestants. If you recall, Jenna Talackova was disqualified from the Miss Canada competition because of her transgender status. Talackova was born a male, but received hormone therapy and underwent gender reassignment surgery four years ago. Pageant owner Donald Trump then changed the policy to allow transgender contestants, and Talackova went on to compete. She didn’t win the overall pageant, but did take home the honor of Miss Congeniality.

Monnin allegedly wrote in the e-mail that she won’t be ”part of a pageant system that has so far and so completely removed itself from its foundational principles as to allow and support natural born males to compete in it. This goes against every moral fiber of my being. I believe in integrity, high moral character, and fair play, none of which are part of this system any longer”.

Then why did she write on Facebook that her resignation was due to a fraudulent competition? According to Trump, Monnin has “loser’s remorse”. He called Good Morning America this morning to reiterate that the pageant was not rigged, announced his plans to sue Monnin for her false claims, and made some personal digs at the former pageant queen. And Trump is not happy.

It’s also worth noting that one of the reasons Miss Rhode Island Olivia Culpo won the Miss USA title is because of her interview answer regarding transgender contestants.

    Nice sensationalistic, and potentially defamatory, headline there, Styleite. Referring to Miss Pennsylvania as “transphobic” due to allegations made by the organization from which she has just resigned could land you in a world of hurt, legally.

    This country is supposed to be ” Tolerant ” now, but, if you don’t agree with the status quo and the way they thing and accept things, then you are labeled derrogatory things.  This is along the same route as when Miss California lost the Miss USA when she was clearly the winner, because she didn’t believe in what some think is correct.   Be careful America the way you ” think ” and what you say, if you disagree, you may be sued or attacked by the ” tolerant ” media!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
