WATCH: Mia Wasikowska Dons Granny Glasses In Miu Miu’s New Video
Miu Miu‘s Spring 2012 ads have been brightening up the pages of our glossies for the past few months now with their cheerful hot-pink-and-canary-yellow backgrounds and abundance of print-happy pieces. Now the brand has released a video to accompany the campaign, starring Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, and, yes, it is just as colorful as the print versions.
In the clip, shot in London last December, 22-year-old Wasikowska rocks a series of mismatched cameo jewelry, floral hair adornments, lacy capelets, and some serious granny glasses. Needless to say we know where to turn for styling inspiration for our next oddball tea party.
We’re sure the actress enjoyed playing dress up for the label – after all, Jane Eyre never ventured far from her preferred palette of drab grays and Alice in Wonderland stuck faithfully to her familiar blue dress. We think some of the accessories in the collection might be right at home, however, in the extravagant closet of Wasikowska’s latest undertaking: Madame Bovary. Don’t you think?
