WATCH: Natalia Vodianova Eats Men, Has Snakes For Hair
Russian beauty Natalia Vodianova is joining a long list of models who have attempted to add /actress to their name. Of course, it didn’t exactly work out for Cindy or Gisele or Gemma — not that they lost too much beauty sleep over it — but here’s hoping Natalia will break the curse with her upcoming role as Medusa in “Clash of the Titans.”
Because, really, who better to play a terrifying snake-headed monster that turns mortals to stone than a model? But as opposed to the typical slash fare (forced dialogue and the requisite strut), this clip actually has us a little bit excited about the grecian epic. Not only is the CGI-enhanced transformation more grotesque than something you might see on an episode of America’s Next Top Model. (Snakes for hair, anyone?) But somehow the sweet-faced super manages to stay stunning. We think even Tyra would be impressed.

As it turns out, this also isn’t Vodianova’s first foray into film. IMDB tells us she’s held bit parts in something called Probka and 2001′s CQ, in which she played alongside Gerard Depardieu, Jason Schwartzman, fellow model Angela Lindvall, and fashion’s favorite: Billy Zane.
Clash of the Titans, which stars Avatar’s Sam Worthington, will be out in theaters on April 2.
