PHOTOS: What Stars Wore On Stage To Ring In The New Year

Judging by the sartorial situation on the subway, sequins were the name of the game last night. But it was a slightly different story for the performers in Times Square for “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2013 With Ryan Seacrest” (a bit of a mouthful, we know). Taylor Swift took the stage in a shimmering scarlet biker jacket, paired with (gasp!) leather pants. Could this be a sign that Tay Tay is going the badass route for 2013? We can only hope.

As for our other favorite bang-sporting singer, Carly Rae Jepsen chose a dramatic red floor-sweeping skirt and long-sleeved crop top with mesh and velvet panels. The look could have worked with a mini, but unfortunately, the high-waisted silhouette was an unflattering pick. MC Hammer joined Psy for a performance of “Gangnam Style”, the former opting for an all black outfit, including his signature Hammer pants, and the latter wearing a white suit paired with a chubby white vest.

Finally, Mayor Michael Bloomberg got his high kick on with the Rockettes in a patriotic American flag sweater, but alas, seemed slightly out of sync with the girls.

    I am pretty sure Taylor Swift was wearing Joes Jeans black Skinn’y's.. I love the Joe’s Jeans Denim. The best fitting jeans in my opinion. Taylor was beautiful and looked like she was having fun. 2013 is going to be another great year for Taylor..

    Joes Jeans has been around for a few years now. They are opening stores all over the place now. I am not suprised that Taylor is wearing them last night, I think she was wearing the Joes shorts on the cover of Rolling stone Magazine as well for her new album Red. . Most of the “A” listers wear Joes including Brittney Spears, Ben Affleck, J-lo and Brad Pitt. They have a Brand at macy’s called “ELSE” which are basicly similiar to traditional Joes but no mention of JOES on the Label. I heard this from the Manager at Macy’s when I was there over the holidays.. They fit great too. I love their shoes and other items which are very stylish.
