Nicole Scherzinger’s Gown Displays Tweets In Real Time

We’ve seen dresses with LED lights before, but never one quite like this.

At a launch party for the UK’s first 4G network, called EE, X Factor judge and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger rocked a frock that actually integrated social media. The dress, which was made of sheer black fabric with a minidress underneath that contained 2,000 LED lights, displayed tweets in real time from the Twitter handle @EE. The dress was designed by a firm called CuteCircuit, who was also behind the light-up dress Katy Perry wore to the 2010 Met Gala. CuteCircuit Creative Directo and Co-Founder Francesca Rosella said:

“EE approached us and said they wanted to do something spectacular with Nicole Scherzinger. Nicole really knows what she likes, and she’s so beautiful. She had lots of input in the design of the gown, and we kept bouncing ideas back and forth.”

This is certainly a cool gimmick, but we think it’s safe to say that literally wearing social media is not going to become a trend. What do you think of Nicole’s look?
