PHOTOS: Inside Nina Garcia’s $8.5M Upper East Side Apartment

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to walk a day in Nina Garcia’s shoes, well, we can’t really help you. We can, however, show you where Marie Claire’s most famous fashion director lays her head to sleep at night. Don’t worry, we’re not creepy stalkers, it’s just that her $8.5 million pad on Manhattan’s Upper East Side is currently on the market. Let’s take a look!

The co-op, which is located at 45 East 66th Street, on the corner of Madison Avenue and just steps from Central Park, features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a wood burning fireplace, and, thankfully, allows pets. It’s also the result of a savvy purchase Garcia and her finance honcho hubby David Conroy made back in 2006, snatching up a smaller apartment adjacent to the corner unit they already owned in the building. All in, they spent $4,921,900 before renovations — but it sounds like it was a very, well, sound investment.

That said, we can’t help but wonder why they’re moving? More room for the baby? If so, we can’t wait to see what the new place looks like.

It’s obvious why they are leaving . . . look at that floorplan. It’s very ackward for a family with two small children. Look at the bedrooms. There is really only one other bedroom on the side of the apartment with the Master. The other one is across the apartment, near the kitchen, next to the maid. And, where exactly are the four bathrooms? I see only two full and one powder room. So, I can see why Ms. Garcia and her family would need a more comfortable, larger apartment. This one is nice but just not family friendly.

Maybe it’s just me, but their Upper East Site apartment sounds big enough. How much more room do you need to raise a child when you already have a four bedroom Manhattan penthouse?
