Betsey Johnson Advises Drinking Through Future Earthquakes

A little over an hour ago, we here at the Styleite headquarters in New York City felt a minor version of the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Mineral, Va. and spread all the way from Washington, DC to Boston. And as our Twitter feeds filled up with notifications that several government buildings had been evacuated, they also bloomed with fashion people tweeting about their experiences.

Designer Betsey Johnson was at lunch with friends and coworkers, and found that the best way to deal with an earthquake is champagne. Steven Kolb felt the tremors in the CFDA’s offices and said anyone who was tweeting about the earthquake didn’t have their priorities in order. Over at Lucky Magazine, everyone was safe, and all the jewelry in the sample closet was accounted for. No looting here!
