WATCH: Olivier Zahm Hops Aboard The Louis Vuitton Express

Louis Vuitton‘s season-long train ride is full steam ahead with its latest film starring Purple magazine’s Olivier Zahm.

French model/actress Alice Aufray plays the Bardot-esque ‘pretty girl’ while Zahm plays the ‘bad boy’ (aka himself) in the film, a parody of the trailer for Jean-Luc Godard‘s 1963 Le Mépris (Contempt) that documents a day in the life of the debauched editor. Not just any day, however – March 7th, 2012, which as you’ll surely remember was the day the Louis Vuitton steam engine rolled into the Cour Carrée du Louvre for the Fall 2012 runway show. As such, a skirt-clad Marc Jacobs makes a cameo in the clip, as does Olympia Le-Tan, she of the supremely covetable book clutches (be still, our lit-nerd hearts.)

Unlike the Godard original, which was “filmed in glorious Technicolour” all around Italy, the Vuitton version is black-and-white and Parisian all over. Compare for yourself below:
