The Olsen Twins Think You’re Going To Wear Cashmere Shoes In July

Leave it to the Olsens to make Toms the latest fetishized footwear. What started out as a simple canvas espadrille has expanded to include corduroy, sequins, and now even cashmere, thanks to a recent collaboration with Mary-Kate and Ashley.

The new Toms + The Row shoes are manufactured from Italian-imported materials and include three styles in light gray, monochrome plaid, and basic black, retailing for either $140 or $150. And similar to the company’s main line, each pair of designer shoes sold will cover the feet of a child in need. While your standard $40 canvas Toms pay for two pairs of the shoes (your pair and one for a kid who doesn’t have shoes), a $150 pair could sell off three or four. But the cost of imported Italian wool more than likely means that while your feet would be covered in luxury, and a poor child in Mexico would just get the same old canvas. But at least their feet won’t sweat like yours will!

“Toms + The Row customers will have the ability to give back and create change with a single purchase,” Ashley explains. “Having the opportunity to be a part of something so meaningful has made the collaboration with Toms special to The Row,” Mary-Kate adds.

If you’re interested in buying a pair, they’re now available for purchase on the Toms website.
