Let the Olympic festivities begin! The was a reception at Buckingham Palace today to welcome heads of state attending the Opening Ceremony, A.K.A. a fashion extravaganza. Oh, and our dreams came true (again!) as MObama and KMid totally hung out.
The first lady turned to one of her usual favorites, J. Mendel, for this crisp white skirt and jacket. It fit her beautifully and was very appropriate. However, Kate’s dress is the talk of the town globe, as it was — wait for it — Christopher Kane. What an unexpected pairing! But it worked, and the duchess looked beautiful in the light, shimmery frock. Kane once said that he would like to see Kate stop wearing so many high street brands and start wearing more designers, and boy, did he get his wish today!
