PHOTOS: 10 Best Dressed Ladies At The 84th Annual Academy Awards

It’s the culmination of months of awards shows, miles of red carpets, and more peplums than you can count, but tonight’s 84th Annual Academy Awards proved a stunning show of creativity, class, and some seriously sick jewelry. Take a look through our top ten looks of the night below. Who do you think we missed?

1.Li Bingbing

We're new to Li Bingbing, but she looks downright lovely in this petal-textured gown. The sheer side is a delightful surprise and it's worth noting that she's carrying a $400,000 clutch by Lana Marks featuring 40 carats of white diamonds.

2.Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford

Gwyneth Paltrow is a caped red carpet crusader in this minimalist Tom Ford gown. And her jewelry is to die for.

3.Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen

Despite all her buzz, we've been routinely disappointed in Jessica Chastain's red carpet choices which are almost always too small and too boring. But last night the redhead made a smart decision with her Alexander McQueen gown and half-up, half-down 'do. By far her best look yet.

4.Louise Roe in Black Halo

When no less than three of our co-watchers noted that ABC's red carpet host Louise Roe looked better than most of the attendees, we knew we had a dark horse winner. Roe wore a blush colored, long-sleeved gown by contemporary brand Black Halo which she accessorized with the raddest ring of the night and a romantic side bun.

5.Meryl Streep in Lanvin

Is there anyone more beautiful than Meryl Streep? And she's wearing Lanvin. 'Nuff said.

6.Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton

Not red, not orange, but coral, Michelle Williams' Louis Vuitton is an exercise in peplum perfection. Paired with a hot pink clutch and pink lips, it's unbeatable.

7.Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji

She looks like an intricately embellished shooting star in Tadashi Shoji.

8.Stacy Keibler in Marchesa

Stacy Keibler killed it in this molten gold metal of a dress by Marchesa. Only someone with 42 inch legs could pull off a giant rose placed squarely on the widest part of their body. No fair.

9.Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab Couture

Despite being one of the first stars we saw walk the red carpet, Milla Jovovich and her one-shouldered Elie Saab Couture gown stood out for the rest of the night. Her red lips, silver clutch, and pearly manicure were just icing on the cake.

10.Glenn Close in Zac Posen

Glenn Close's tuxedo jacket kept her forest green Zac Posen look from being mother-of-the-bride. Instead, it was modern, chic, and flawless.

You’re right, Francesca. That McQueen was a killer. Fabulous! Have to disagree on Glenn. MOB disaster. What’s up with the side seams? What that ruching or puckering? George should have carried Stacy on his right side so the rose was on the outside. That bothered me all evening! Octavia is the perfect example of how a larger woman can still look fabulous (although the dress was too long in the front. If the toes can’t peak out, you can’t walk.) Melissa, were you watching? Fire your stylist, girlfriend, or GET ONE if you don’t! That pink thing was awful. Flutter sleeves, jewel neckline, jewel empire waist, keyhole neck line. Geez, pick SOMETHING.
