Oscars Red Carpet 2010: The Best And The Worst

And Everything In Between:

Kristen Stewart’s Monique Lhuillier navy strapless silk dress may have been a yawn, but we must applaud her for not looking like a 17-year-old angst ridden teenager.  The fact that Stewart lacked her usual overused eyeliner and wore something that was not torn and tattered earns her a place in our “in between” category. Lhuillier’s dress fit her beautifully and the color choice was a refreshing (if small) change from the teen-sensation’s usual black uniform.

Rachel McAdams looked perfectly pretty in a softly floral Elie Saab dress made up of muted blues and complimentary pastels. The fit was perfect, the silhouette stunning, and McAdams has hereby been inducted into Styleite’s inaugural “Dresses We’d Definitely Wear” hall of fame.

Anna Kendrick’s Elie Saab gown was appropriate and her shoes were wonderful.  The lace detailing and delicate upper bodice made the dress lovely, but, well, just lovely.  The color washed her out and, considering her Golden Globe’s Marchesa dress, we all know Kendrick has it in her to do something a bit more interesting.
