Pam Anderson Calls Janet Jackson ‘Greedy’ Over Fur Ad
What becomes a legend most? Bickering at other legends, apparently.
Out magazine’s Popnography blog did a little catching up with Pamela Anderson, the erstwhile bikini-clad fictional mayoress of the beaches of Los Angeles county. Anderson just did a (clearly airbrushed) PETA ad with photographer David LaChapelle, and had a successful turn at stand-up comedy during Montreal’s gay pride week. She also hates fur and the people who wear it.
Specifically, Anderson was none too happy with Janet Jackson‘s recent ad for furrier Blackglama.
What are your thoughts on Janet Jackson’s Blackglama ad?
It’s disappointing. She has spoken out against fur before. I don’t know why some people stop listening to their heart. I guess some people get greedy, but it’s sad.
Greedy? Janet Jackson’s not greedy, she’s just playing the game — just like Anderson is doing with the PETA ads. Celebrity endorsements are worth truckloads of cash, regardless of the product or the cause Mr. or Mrs. Famous is stepping behind. We’d advise Anderson and the rest of Hollywood to think about that before they start running their mouths about other people’s ads.
