PHOTOS: The People’s Choice Awards’ Most Questionable Choices

Let’s be clear: this isn’t a worst dressed list. It’s a list that falls somewhere between What Were They Thinking When They Put That On? and That Dress Was Perfect Until…. Jennifer Lawrence, for example, can be found under the former, while Miley Cyrus, whose deep-v, off-white cocktail number features neon side panels and a mesh, mulleted skirt, is most definitely the latter.

Now let’s discuss the others. Julianne Hough fills out her shimmery, body-con gown nicely, but the slope of the see-through back is a little disconcerting. Ginnifer Goodwin’s color choice is perfect, but those bell sleeves are way too distracting. Lucy Hale could have pulled off a clever take on a black mini, had that long skirt-train-thing not happened, and Vanessa Hudgens managed to make a pretty Jenny Packham gown look like it was made of spiderwebs. Ouch.
