Philipp Plein’s Ads Star Léa T, Poppy Delevingne, And Terry In A Tux
Philipp Plein has upped the ante once again with his headline-grabbing ad campaigns — a feat we barely thought possible after casting Lindsay Lohan, Ed Westwick, and Terry Richardson all within the course of a year. But an It girl and some apparent incest will definitely do the trick!
For Spring, the designer has tapped Richardson once again as both lensman and model, along with transgender model Léa T, Poppy Delevingne, and a pair of identical male models who look, ahem, very close indeed. The boys are Brazilian twins Marcio and Marcos Patriota, and this isn’t the first time Uncle Terry has captured them in some compromising positions, although this marks their debut caressing one another on behalf of a commercial fashion house.
According to a press release, the campaign pays homage to the “glorious epoch” that was pre-Revolution Versailles, which basically translates to some heavily ornamented duds and neon “wood” paneling. Unless of course the men-as-thrones thing that Poppy and Léa seem to be practicing has some deeper symbolic meaning to it, but somehow we doubt it.
