Zoe Saldana Shows Major Skin (Again) In See-Through Rodarte
On the same day a much poo-poohed Allure issue disclosed her weight on the cover then showed her completely naked inside, Zoe Saldana had the guts to arrive at Tuesday night’s L.A. premiere of Star Trek: Into Darkness in a belly-exposing dress.
Maybe we were too mesmerized by the Dan Flavin-esque light installations from Rodarte Fall 2013, but we had a hard time placing Saldana’s navel-revealing, nude-colored tulle dress. Flamenco-y chiffon tiers only made us think of Ghesquière, but it was the wave embroidery that ultimately tipped us off to the California-inspired collection.
To continue the beach theme, Saldana accessorized with an orangey-red lip (MAC Lady Danger, anyone?), a wavy up-do, an Aurelie Bidermann pearl cuff, and orange-and-gold Oscar Tiye sandals.
Now back to that dress, because we finally figured out what it really reminds us of. It pains us to say so, but the asymmetrical ruffles actually recall the butterfly-hem skirts we bought at Limited Too back in the day.
But don’t worry too much, Zoë. You’ll always have Cannes to redeem yourself.
