WATCH: Fall In Love With Prabal Gurung’s Target Commercial

When Prabal Gurung said that his Target collection was inspired by love, he was’t joking. The 30-second commercial for the collaboration resembles nothing so much as a trailer for a romantic comedy, and despite the cheese, it works.

The ad features snippets of Olivia Thirlby and some hunk falling in and out of love, complete with Greg Holden‘s sappy “She’s Got Something”, faux movie reviews, and a dramatic voiceover. By the end of it all, we kind of wished this “trailer” was actually for a movie. Guess we’ll just have to ask the designer himself at tonight’s preview party — which, bonus, will feature a not-so-surprise performance by Ne-Yo. More on that tomorrow, obviously!
