PHOTOS: Prada To Launch A Jewelry Line

Wondering when all that money from the Prada IPO was gonna start trickling into the company’s long term operational plan? Turns out the answer is right in time for the holiday shopping season! That’s when the heavily leveraged Italian fashion house will unveil its newest product category: jewelry.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Miuccia Prada‘s “eclectic imagination” (to say nothing of her new credit rating) is what drove her to design the jewelry collection, which includes a lot of enamel roses in red and light green, diamonds galore and cuffs made out of shiny crocodile skin. Prices will start around $448, and we’re guessing you won’t see a single precious gem for that much money. You might get a nice swath of leather and the Prada logo on a clasp, though.
