Would You Ever Wear This Simpsons-Esque Boot By Prada?

Prada is really cornering the market on creepy shoes this season. Earlier, the New York Post revealed there was a waitlist for their $795 ’70s-inspired creeper shoe, and then less than one day later, Refinery29 discovered an equally hideous knock-off version selling for the not-quite-bargain price of $100. And now ShoeLust has unearthed a side angle view of the trompe l’oeil booties Miuccia walked down the runway of her Fall 2011 collection and, well, they look as though they were designed by Matt Groening.

We’re not sure what to make of these, um, shoe-boots, but we’re almost 100% certain they’ll be requiring waiting lists come fall. Which begs the question: would you wear them? And if so, how would you style them?

I’d wear them if the heel wasn’t so high…I get nerve pain when I wear too high of heels.
I’d wear them with a cute school-marm-esq jumper and cardigan sweater. The pieces would probably be in tones of brown, tan, gold or green.

this would look really cute with a styled Lederhosen, shorts on the short side.

Prada shoes and bags were once pretty and cool. Lambskin to die for (unfor, some pretty lamb actually did die for…). Lately, tho’, I’m beginning to think she either hates women or lives on another planet.

Creepy isn’t strong enough. Hideous would be more suitable. Ugh! The bootie section of these little “beauties” look just like the old brown cotton stockings, that girls wore under navy tunics in grade school. They looked butt ugly then, the way they were always sagging down, and they look equally butt ugly here. They aren’t really everyday shoes anyway. Had to be an error in labelling. Someone forgot to add the words, Halloween accessories!
