PHOTOS: The Many Different Hats Of The Royal Wedding

There are hats, and then there are hats, and the ones atop the heads of the attendees of today’s Royal Wedding were most certainly wearing the latter. From chic chapeaus that perfectly complemented the dresses they were paired with to absurdly curly, feathery creations that looked more like they wanted to bite you than to stay on top of a princess’s head, the hats on display this morning were so stunning (and so frightening) that we haven’t been able to compose ourselves well enough to put them in a post. Until now! Herein, the greatest moments in millinery from the wedding of Duchess Catherine and Prince William.

1.Princess Beatrice of York

We don't know if Princess Beatrice is just really good at creating memes or what, but her hat is so spectacular that it's already become one of the most beloved pieces of headgear on the Internet.

2.Miriam Gonzales Durantez

We didn't know Miss Gonzales Durantes was before today, but who could forget that hat? The talented lawyer and wife of Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg turns out to have awesome taste -- the rose on her head looks like a miniature James Nares painting from far away.

3.Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Carole Middleton; Queen Elizabeth II

We'd like to remind you that Mother's Day is coming up. Get mom a decent gift this year, and maybe she'll wear a nice hat like one of these to your nuptials.

4.Lady Helen Taylor; Anne, Princess Royal; Princess Eugenie of York

These women understand that sometimes, florals in springtime really can be groundbreaking.

5.Lady Fredrick Windsor, Victoria Beckham

Basic black is always going to be chic and timeless. Nothing you can say to that.

6.Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, Princess Michael of Kent

Of course you could go the other direction and have a teal hat like these two royals.

7.Sophie, Countess of Wessex; Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

Better yet, why not make your hat and dress out of the exact same color?

In my opinion, Princess Bee is such an ugly little creature that she did not need such a frightful hat on that head!!! That child needs a few lessons on how to dress herself in an appropriate manner that distracts from her ugly face. Her sister Eugenie(?) needs to either lose weight or learn to dress to suit her figure. She, unfortunately has a body like her mother and needs to learn to dress it properly. Not suggesting she diet down to zero; just learn to dress what she has. What she wore yesterday was simply awful. I really hope she doesn’t look at the film, see how dreadful she looks, and goes on a drastic diet. Some balance is needed I think.

Looks like her hat came from the clowns at the circus and she ripped the drapes down from Buckingham Palace for that dress…
