Print-Loving ‘Ninjas’ Suspected in Pucci Burglary
Lock up your printed scarves and cabana caftans, kiddies, because seems there are some Pucci-loving ninjas on the loose. We wish we were joking.
According to the New York Post (whom else?), a band of couture-loving crooks broke into the Italian maker’s Fifth Avenue store and made out with nearly $100,000 worth of designer T-shirts, handbags, belts, shoes, sunglasses and scarves.
We’re not sure what technically qualifies the Post to classify these smash-and-grab bandits as ninjas? Was there some sort of costume? Maybe a samurai sword? A ransom note left inside a fortune cookie?
It just seems to us that they could have chosen something a little less splashy — but, then again, ’tis March and who knows: maybe the ninjas needed something to wear on an upcoming spring break cruise? Wouldn’t want to be upstaged by the pirates, right?
