Q&A: What’s The Deal With Double-Finger Rings?

What are some of your favorite street style blogs?

It’s funny how street style blogs — which, once upon a time, were literally random pictures of people dressed stylishly on the street — have transformed into fully functioning and highly stylized photoshoots not only on the street, but say… in a field, or on an abandoned road.

I am not hating, I love them, particularly when I am feeling less than inspired by my closet. I frequent the power-player high-fashion style sites such as Jak and Jil, The Sartorialist, and Stockholm Street Style. However, lately I’ve been more inspired by user generated photo sites such as lookbook.nu and chictopia.com.

Though there is something that bothers me about these user generated sites. Namely, how does Pauline, a 20-year-old from Texas who is chilling on what looks to be her Grandmother’s craptastic porch afford a Proenza Schouler top, Marc Jacobs tote, and Louboutin shoes? How? How, I ask!

OK, OK — I am hating now. I love you, Pauline, I do. Some other outfit eye candy sites I love include Glam Canyon, Style Sightings, and Street Peeper.

I have been noticing a ton of girls rocking the double finger ring. Where can I get one of those?

Yes! I love ladies who rock loads of bling. I am a big fan of not only the double finger ring but think nameplate rings are rad as well. A little place called Soul Jewelry will customize any double finger ring to fit your name — ignore the fact that the site heavily promotes the fact that “Audrina from The Hills has one.” As far as well-made double finger rings go, there is the fat and the skinny options both of which are pretty killer.

Off-Topic Alert: I found this epic giant silver bow ring while perusing etsy and I was dying to show someone. Cute, Right?! Feels somewhat Maison Martin Margiela-ish.

I also die for the double finger Elizabeth and James feather ring. And, today is your lucky day because I found this very similar one on Etsy for a fraction of the price. Sorry, MK + A, you know you’re my girls.
