Queen Elizabeth Doesn’t Abide By The ‘No White After Labor Day’ Rule

Queen Elizabeth is still celebrating her Diamond Jubilee, but yesterday, she turned the attention to those who played a role in making her yearlong party a success. She met with Chef Heston Blumenthal, singer and heartthrob Gary Barlow, and a handful of others at Buckingham Palace, but most importantly, she broke the rule of not wearing white after Labor Day. Gasp!

To be fair, the look may be closer to cream, than white. And actually, she’s the Queen: she can do whatever she wants! Our homegirl looked pretty darn good in a collarless jacket with black trim, a printed dress, pearls, and black heels. Of course, her red lips were a perfect pop of color. Sigh, that Liz.
