PHOTOS: Queen Elizabeth Is Resplendent In Royal Blue

Queen Elizabeth held a garden party at the picturesque Balmoral Castle in Scotland yesterday, and that meant donning her finest coat dress and hat. As usual, she didn’t disappoint.

Instead of opting for a cliché flowery frock, our girl Liz chose a bright royal blue coat dress and a white chapeau with matching blue floral lace appliqués. The lace was a subtle nod to the garden party atmosphere, and we think Liz looked perfect. She also wore a brooch, which looks like a large blue stone (a sapphire?!) surrounded by diamonds (she is the Queen, after all), and topped off the outfit with her signature black handbag, white gloves, and pearls.
