WATCH: What Really Happened Between Rachel And Taylor

UPDATE, 8.05.2010:Taylor Jacobson responds!

The Rachel Zoe Project made its much awaited return to our television screens tonight, and with it came the answer to one of the industry’s most pressing questions: what exactly happened between Rachel Zoe and Taylor Jacobson, the tow-headed styling assistant with a salty attitude.

We’ve covered this topic before, after Zoe gave a surprisingly candid interview to WWD in which she accused Jacobson of “going in for the kill” with regards to her “angel” and second styling assistant Brad Goreski, and more or less washed her hands of it all. “I don’t care what she does,” Zoe told WWD. “How’s that? How’s that for an answer?”

But as for the intimate details of their falling out, well, Zoe remained coy. Until tonight.

Tonight, the truth — and the claws — came out. In the first 10 minutes of tonight’s episode, Zoe revealed that Jacobson was indeed fired — by Zoe’s husband Rodger, no less — and alluded no small amount of times to “financial discrepancies” tied to Taylor’s book-keeping.

WATCH:

And if you thought it ended there, well, less than 10 minutes later, Brad — while still reveling in his newly minted promotion to Styling Director — accuses Taylor of stealing clothes from Zoe’s sample closet.

WATCH:

And there’s the lesson of the day, kids: Beware a stylist scorned — especially one who has her very own television show. Because she will burn you. Literally.

I do NOT believe for one minute that Taylor stole a thing. First of all – she was an assistant, are you telling me that Rachel is so inept at her business practices to let such a thing happen? I think not! Remember when Kathy Griffin’s beau ripped her off and she blamed the help?? I’d be checking your home fires Rachel first…look at Marc too…
Taylor is innocent and she will prevail. I’m done with RZP no more lies…

Its hard to see Taylor go. I can understand her frustration. At least from what the show portrayed, Brad was the favorite but hardly did any work. Taylor seemed to keep things together. Taylor doesn’t know how to express herself in a non-fighting sort of way but I really sympathize with her.

It’s interesting that Rachel and her tag-along husband, along with the drab and petty Brad, devoted sooo much time to Taylor and the circumstances surrounding her departure on last nights episode. I don’t believe their accusations at all. Taylor kept the show interesting and really had the talent. Rachel was obviously intimidated by Taylor, house husband reacted to it and that gay tool Brad played into it to save his own butt. Tuning out…

First of all, quarter way through the show, the other two minions stated that all property had been returned. As far as the bookkeeping…you let an ASSITANT keep your books, not contract a professional controller with so much inventory and most of it high tag??? And the accusations. No one has heard from Taylor, but making those kinds of accusations publicly is setting yourself up for a major lawsuit. Also, it reflects VERY BADLY on Ms Zoe and her camp. When checking previous employer records for a former employee, prospective employers cannot even ask why someone was dismissed.
Fight back Taylor! And explain to your former boss how the rules of employer/employee relations really work. Slander if you want Ms Zoe, but be prepared to pay the price. Calling someone a thief in public is not nice.

Rachel you really did wrong by Taylor, after watching Taylor make things happen regardless of you and Brad help, I can see why now the two of you want to prove that you can make it without Taylor. Perhaps, if you would have made an effort to acknowledge Taylor’s value this wouldn’t happen. Rachel, in life no one is dispensable but to act so dirty as to accuse Taylor of stealing from the company is a new level of dirty. You need to step up and stop trying to destroy Taylor, “STOP PLAYING THE VICTIM”. I believe that your husband couldn’t wait to said on t.v. that Taylor stole funds from your company, hopefully, that is enough for Taylor to get a chunk of your company.

Hello?? Taylor was a complete bi*** towards Brad when he first started and who is she to make a guy cry? Doesn’t anyone remember Taylor trying on clothes that came into the office? Taylor and Brad even spoke about the clothes they would wear and the clothes that Taylor would “borrow.” What about the jewelry that Rachel bought for Taylor as gifts? Just by watching the new season of the show, you can totally see a difference in everyones attitude. It’s more calm and not as bitchy or snarky. Brad was trying his best and it’s hard when you have someone like Taylor complaining about you and to you about everything wrong you are doing. Did Taylor ever have anything nice to say to Brad or compliment him on things he did well? Gee, Taylor must be a GODDESS behind those ugly, dark sunglasses she wore. Of course she wouldn’t take off her sunglasses…liars don’t look people in the face. She knows she was screwing over the Company ‘cuz she thought she deserved whatever she wanted for being their the longest. Brad, Rachel, congrats on getting rid of that fake blonde who pretended to care about any of you. All she did was complain. Grow up Taylor. Brad, you rock and so do you Rachel.

Getting rid of Taylor was a smart move. Taylor forgot who signed her paycheck. All she ever said was negative, mean and hateful. The show was about Rachel Zoe not Taylor and Taylor wanted to be in control. I wish her well but can’t see anyone working for her.

Taylor was negative and constantly complaining about nonsense.  Who would want to work with her.  So glad to see her gone.
