Reading List: A Super-Secret Trove Of Vintage Treasures

Editor’s Note: There are millions of sites in the blogosphere and let’s face it, you don’t have time to read them all. Lucky for you (and us!), we’ve found someone who does, and she’s going to be sharing a few with you each week. Think of them as blogs to know, Twitter users to follow, online stores to shop at — and so much more! If you’re looking to expand your blogroll or source from the best content on the web, Hillary Frazier is your girl! And if you’ve got the inside scoop on a site worth knowing, send her an email!
Rice and Beans Vintage
I originally wanted to keep this site to myself, but the more I go back, the more I want to tell everyone I know about it. If you’re similar to me in that you can never seem to navigate eBay well-enough to score those vintage boots or Chanel 2.55 bag you desperately wanted, this site will be your best friend. Rice and Beans not only has a huge selection of vintage, designer clothes, handbags, jewelry, and shoes, they’ve also got tons of other great vintage finds, and a few modern designer ones as well. Even better, it’s all fairly priced, and you don’t have to worry about waiting until an auction expires to claim your treasures! Speaking from experience, they ship fast, and everything is exactly how it is described on the site.
Clement Louis
While looking for the most fashionable foreigners on lookbook.nu, I found Clement Louis, a nineteen year old from Paris. Turns out, Clement Louis isn’t only a student and model, but a fabulous photographer with a blog full of amazing runway, behind-the-scenes, and editorial shoots of everyone from Karl Lagerfeld to art school friends. The words are in French, but that didn’t matter to me at all because my eyes were glued to the images, and I was too busy saving every picture to my inspiration folder. For a nineteen year old, Clement — who certainly possesses the talent of photographers twice his age (and older!) — is a name to remember and a link to add to your blogroll.
The Fashion Squad
I’ve always loved Stockholm street style, and Carolina Engman of Fashion Squad is no exception. A gorgeous girl with legs for days, Carolina does a bit of modeling in addition to her blog, has endless amounts of press features and international editorial spreads, but more importantly, she has amazing style. Mixing vintage with contemporary designs and almost always wearing heels, every post Carolina publishes is an inspiration. Also, anyone that will wear Sam Edelman Zoe booties is an automatic bookmark for me.
