Tuesday night’s Vanity Fair event for the Tribeca Film Festival might have been a sartorial home run, but the outfits at the Mistaken For Strangers opening and a Qantas dinner over in Sydney were quite the opposite. Thank goodness for the well-dressed ladies at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party.
At a weird dinner party for Qantas at the Sydney Domestic Airport (let that sink in), Miranda Kerr looked matronly in a black pencil skirt and navy turtleneck blouse with sheer sleeves. Maybe it’s because we’re not used to seeing her so covered up, but the look was just overwhelming for the model. J. Alexander also showed up as a giant present, and Sarah de Bono (wait, who?) wore an inexplicable leather-looking jumpsuit with a bustier top. The look was Katy Perry meets Rihanna, but in a bad way.
Back in the city at the Tribeca Film Festival, Riley Keough paired cool yellow shorts with an odd lace top, Mira Sorvino tried to pass off as Kate Middleton in an all-over lace frock, and Jessica Terranova wore a hot pink nightie. Too bad she didn’t wear it to the Hot Pink Party across town. Well, even if she did, she would’ve been one-upped by Kate Hudson‘s sleek LBG (little black gown), Tory Burch’s va-va-voom number, and Constance Jablonski’s pink, prom-worthy frock.
