It was a battle of the coasts again last night — designers and models stepped out in New York to fête the Museum Of Chinese in America while celebs and artists did their thing at the KIIS FM Jingle Ball in Los Angeles. Let’s take a look.
Here in New York, Solange Knowles wore a nude frock with two thigh-high slits and partied with our very own Dan Abrams at Ermenegildo Zegna‘s launch event for its new scent “Essenze”. Downtown at the Cipriani Wall Street, fashion folks like Jason Wu, Lily Kwong, and Alexa Chung (she’s mixed!) attended MoCA’s annual Legacy Awards Dinner and celebrated the work of Vogue China’s editorial director Angelica Cheung, Opening Ceremony‘s Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, and more.
Model Kwong wore white trousers with fun yellow polka dots and a matching sheer peplum top, and Alek Wek went with a bold coral frock with blue floral print. Unfortunately, Chung’s Kenzo number fell short and seemed like an uninspired choice for the evening.
Leather was also on the minds of the Jenner sisters over in Los Angeles. Kendall showed off her gams in a form-fitting leather mini and gray top, and Kylie paired a high-waisted flouncy skirt with a black tee. Onto the more colorful side of things, Alicia Keys tried to channel Rashida Jones in a blue moto jacket, printed top, and black skinnies, while Jordin Sparks wore a body-con red mini that enhanced her enviable figure.
