Tommy Hilfiger’s Rapper Son Arrested For Pot Possession

Talk about crimes of fashion. Yesterday, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani’s daughter Caroline was arrested for stealing over $100 in beauty products from an Upper East Side Sephora. Now TMZ reports that Richard Hilfiger, son of designer Tommy Hilfiger, was arrested in Hollywood last weekend for the alleged possession of marijuana with the intent to sell.
Los Angeles Sheriff Sgt. Shawn Ruda told E! Online that Hilfiger was pulled over while driving along Sunset Boulevard early Sunday. A vehicle search unveiled a generous stash of weed, enough for the 20-year-old to be taken into custody and arrested on a felony count for possession of marijuana for sale, according to the article.
Hilfiger is an up-an-coming rapper who goes by the name Rich Hil. He has worked with rappers Swizz Beatz, Kid Cudi, and Don Cannon, who, according to Complex, he collaborated with in 2009 on his mixtape, “Limos Were Cool in the ’90s.”
Hilfiger’s bail of $20,000 was posted the next night, and shortly after the rapper was released. Being one to keep his Twitter readers in the know, he tweeted immediately after, “Spent the night in jail smh.”
