Rihanna Channels Little Mermaid For April Vogue Cover

We have confirmation that Rihanna‘s rumored Vogue cover exists, and that it will hit newsstands in April.

Back in January, Rihanna tweeted: “Just wrapped my first American Vogue cover shoot with Annie Leibovitz…Rah! #SEXY” before promptly deleting it. We’re guessing Anna Wintour and co. weren’t too happy with the news getting out, and as such, won’t be too happy that the cover itself has now leaked. As always, blame thank Twitter!

Someone snapped a Twitpic of the plastic-wrapped magazine, which features the pop star channeling the Little Mermaid. Seriously! The flowing red locks, the aquatic backdrop and that dress — it’s all just oh-so-Ariel. (Speaking of the dress, Fashion Bomb Daily reports it’s from Chanel‘s pre-fall 2011 collection.)  And if Leibovitz is indeed the photographer behind the cover, the Disney reference shouldn’t come as too big of a shock.
