Someone Is Paying $12K For A One-Night Stay In Coco Chanel’s Suite

Guests have booked nearly all the rooms at the Ritz Paris just before the iconic hotel closed its doors for a two-year renovation project. The Coco Chanel suite (pictured) was reserved for €9,950, or $12,212 at current exchange. That’s more than $12k for a one-night stay.

A hotel spokesperson explains to WWD:

“We have guests coming specifically to spend a last night at the Ritz. July has been a great month; reservations were up compared to last year.”

Guests that have a lot of moolah, no doubt. While the Ritz was busy on its last night of business, the hotel is sadly not yet taking reservations for when it is slated to re-open in 2014. That means we’ve got two years to save enough of our hard-earned dollars to stay in the opulent Coco Chanel suite!
