PHOTOS: The Royal Family (And Other Brits) Attend Royal Ascot, Wear Hats

Today marks the start of the Royal Ascot, a five-day hat horse race. The royal family (minus Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton), notable Brits, and other Brits headed to Berkshire to watch animals run around, but we’ve got our eyes on their toppers.

Queen Elizabeth wore a robin’s egg blue coat, dress, and hat — not to be confused with her other robin’s egg blue duds. Camilla chose a cream chapeau, and Princess Eugenie went with a dark blue fascinator. We certainly missed Kate, but we found a bunch of race-goers wearing crazy hats to take our minds of the Duchess. Union Jack bows! Feathery birdcages! Hats with champagne bottles stuck to them!
