Kate & William’s Royal Engagement Photos Are Here!

We sure didn’t have to wait long for Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s Mario Testino-shot royal engagement photos to be released!

Testino took two pictures — a formal shot in the Council Chamber of St. James’s Palace‘s State Apartment, and a more casual one in the palace’s Cornwall Room. The photographer told the AP: “I have never felt so much joy as when I see them together.” Awwww.

So what are they wearing in the photos? In the formal pic, William is sporting a classic gray suit/white shirt/blue tie combo while Kate is wearing a white Reiss dress (that appears to have pockets!). In the casual photo, Will opted for a brown sweater over a white button-down and Kate chose an ivory top from Whistles. And they’re wearing jeans! As expected, Kate’s engagement ring (you know, the one that launched a thousand imitations) is on full display in both shots.

Though the formal picture has a royal feel thanks to that fancy room, the casual picture looks like every other engagement photo we’ve ever seen. See, they’re royals of the people. And, may we say, a very cute couple.
