TIME WARP: The Royal Family’s Old Christmas Videos Are The Best
Since you’ve all been so good this year, we’ve got a big treat today: a double whammy of the Royal Family at Christmas!
The first video below is a clip from the 1992 documentary Elizabeth R, in honor of Liz’s 40th anniversary at the throne. We get a look at old school Queen Elizabeth from the 1990 taping of her annual Christmas broadcast. She’s wearing a pink blazer and dress, and her signature pearls and black accessories, but alas, no 3D glasses. There are also intimate scenes from the Royal Family’s annual gathering at Sandringham, and young Harry, Wills, and a bunch of other kids we can’t recognize make adorable appearances. It was an especially special holiday, as it was also Princess Eugenie of York’s christening.
Watch it right here:
The second clip below is a mashup of pics and videos from Royal Christmases past, set to the festive tunes of “Let It Snow” and “Sleigh Ride”. It’s slightly cheesy, but still awesome, and we get to see old and new pics of Queen Elizabeth and the Royals at Christmas time. There’s even a Kate Middleton cameo!
