Royal Wedding Dress Exhibit To Bring In More Than $12 Million

The royal wedding dress exhibit at Buckingham Palace is proving to be just as popular as expected. Over 354,000 people have visited since the dress went on display July 23rd! We guess most people don’t share the Queen’s belief that the whole thing is horrid and creepy?

The exhibit showcasing Kate Middleton‘s Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress that saw her transformation into Duchess Catherine will close on October 3rd. Ticket sales are estimated to reach £8 million, or about $12.7 million. (By the way, tickets cost £17.50/$28 for adults and £10/$16 for kids.) The best part? A large chunk of the proceeds are going to Kate and Prince William‘s wedding charity fund. Money from ticket sales will also benefit the maintenance of the Royal Collection.

Now, if only we could make it to London this month…
