Of Course He Does: Ryan Gosling Designs His Own Leather Jackets
There are many reasons to love Ryan Gosling. He wears onesies, he breaks up street fights, he makes men like Conan go mad, and he even dares to wear the same suit twice without fear or shame. Now, however, there is one reason to top them all: he designs his own leather jackets.
Buried nonchalantly in this profile in The Independent is a teeny descriptive nugget about Gosling’s choice of attire. To wit:
“I’m just so sick of myself. I can’t imagine how everyone else feels. And there’s just nowhere to go but down really from here. So, hey, it’s been nice. It’s been real.” He laughs hard, puts on his grey, self-designed leather jacket and feigns leaving, with some good reason.
Now, realistically, Gosling isn’t designing or manufacturing from scratch, but working with a larger, pre-existing brand — probably one who dresses him fairly frequently. Our best guess is Ferragamo, which he wears on the regs. We’ve reached out to them (and a few others) and will keep you posted!
Regardless, the revelation leaves us with one very repetitive thought: Ryan Gosling is so effing hot.
