We Expected So Much More From The SAG Awards Red Carpet

The SAG Awards red carpet was filled with a whole lot of…eh. Some ladies looked truly terrible —and the best dressed list was a study in relativism — but most people were just incredibly boring.

We expected so much more from our red carpet faves! Emma Stone in custom Alexander McQueen and Tilda Swinton in custom Lanvin should have translated into two amazing looks. Alas, YAWN. Jessica Chastain‘s custom Calvin Klein also held promise, but the bland styling left us underwhelmed. Would a bright lip and some sick jewelry have been too much to ask for?

Angelina Jolie and Michelle Williams phoned it in, in black Jenny Packham and red Valentino respectively. Dianna Agron looked like she was going to prom in fuchsia Carolina Herrera, while Naya Rivera showed off one of her best looks in beaded Naeem Khan. That said, relatively speaking, it was a snooze.

Last night’s SAG Awards: brought to you by the letter Z.

  • Talking Turkey

The Calvin Klein and Nayeen Khan dresses were nice, what’s wrong with them?  Angelina on the other hand looked anorexic and drawn, and what an awful dress.  Eat something, for pete’s sake, girl.

  • Bikerk

I thought everyone looked great.  Nothing overtly weird offering fodder for attacks from journalists.  I agree with Turkey above though.  Angelina looked bad and I’m not talking about the dress.  Anorexic and drawn is right.
