PHOTOS: Your Favorite Cartoons Get A Runway-Ready Revamp

First SpongeBob Squarepants dresses up like Karl and Coco, then Mickey Mouse and crew got the high fashion treatment for Barneys‘ holiday campaign, and now Sailor Moon, Betty Boop, and more are modeling the Spring 2013 runway collections. Is nothing from our childhood sacred any more?

Just kidding, we actually love the idea.

Jerome Le Maar of The Style Monk illustrated some of our favorite grade school cartoons in designer duds straight from the catwalks of New York, Milan, and Paris. And the best part is, the collections he chose fit the characters to a T.

Of course Daria would pair her circular specs with a head-to-toe mismatched Marni ensemble, while Jane Lane would rock monochrome tough girl Alexander Wang. And Ms. Boop in Alaïa? Inspired.
