Sepp Magazine Gives New Meaning To The Beautiful Game
They say soccer is the world’s most beautiful game, and while the shirtless snaps of all it’s hard-bodied strikers definitely make a good case, it wasn’t until we stumbled across the pages of Sepp Magazine that we were ready to sound our vuvuzela. Talk about pitch perfect. Launched in 2002, creative director and football fanatic Markus Ebner says he saw a void for a magazine that brought to life the sexiness and style of the sport “When I started to think of stories to put the two things on the same page, it was obvious,” he says of the project. For the fifth installment of glossy, which hits newsstands this week, Ebner teamed fashion and football–enlisting A-list ateliers Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz, Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani, and Dries Van Noten to create their very own football uniforms for the issue. Course what what we found most striking was not the clothes, but the lack of them in a spread which saw a few of Brazil’s most beautiful showing their sultry support for their nation’s favorite sport. And nary an orange dress in sight. What would Fifa think?
