Heidi Mount’s Husband Accused Of Raping Model

A 24-year-old model has accused hair stylist Shawn Mount of sexually assaulting her in a hotel room during London Fashion Week.

The New York Post reports that Shawn, husband to model Heidi Mount (the current face of Chanel), was arrested but not charged in relation to the assault. Mount was released on bail so that he could work shows at Milan Fashion Week. A spokesman for Scotland Yard gave The Post these details:

“We received a complaint of a serious sexual assault at 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 20 at a central London hotel. The 24-year-old victim was referred to the Haven Centre [which helps alleged victims of sexual assaults.] A 30-year-old man was arrested on Sept. 21 on suspicion of rape and bailed to return to a London police station in November. He has not been charged and we are still investigating.”

Shawn Mount, who denies the allegations, has styled models for Vogue and Ralph Lauren ad campaigns. Heidi was in Milan at the time her fellow model alleges the assault occurred. She has walked in shows for Dior, Givenchy and Valentino. The two married in 2007 and have a 3-year-old son. Both are said to know the victim personally.
